Masala Fries

Ingredients


  • 1lb Chicken pieces
  • 1 large Onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup Tomato Purée or simply blend two large tomatoes and use
  • 3tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Kitute Gold Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp or 1½ tsp (to desired heat level) Kitute Gold Chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp Kitute Gold Chicken Masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • 2tbsp Oil
  •  

Cooking Method


  • Marinate chicken with turmeric powder and 1 tsp ginger garlic paste for approximately 15 minutes.
  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and sauté the onions and the remaining ginger-garlic paste.
  • Tomato purée and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add chilli powder, chicken curry masala powder and stir fry.
  • Add chicken pieces and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add enough water (to desired consistency) and salt and cook for 10-15 minutes or pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
